|Community Highways Volunteering Scheme 1 November, 2016|
The County Council Highways Department has introduced the "Community Highways Volunteering Scheme" which allows local residents and resident groups to undertake the sort of footpath work that Highways themselves struggle to keep up with. There are various constraints but if these are met the scheme provides permission to work in the designated areas and cover for this work under the County Council's Public Liabillity Insurance.
For full details please see this document.
Oakington and Westwick Parish has signed up to the scheme, so it is available in this area. For details or to register to work under the scheme please contact the Clerk here.
The Parish Council welcomes this opportunity to let interested residents improve the state of our village.[+ go back...]
